This beginner yoga practice builds a strong foundation of strength and flexibility for your day. With the sounds of the ocean to guide you, use this practice at least once a week to strengthen and prevent injury in your back. Use it as a morning practice, or at any point in the day when you need an energy pick me up. It’s better than espresso!

Just like anything, it takes a few times to get used to the motions and the postures. Use this video as a building block to start to open your body, and notice the shift every day of feeling more open, strong, and connected to yourself.

Katie B Inspired Yoga explores yoga as a lifestyle. In 2013 alone, Katie B taught over 20,000 students. On a weekly basis, she teaches 600+ people who follow her #b_inspired weekly mantras. The asana is just a tiny piece to an amazing global force field of inspiration. Katie B has always had a passion for helping people reach their highest potential. This passion grew with her degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution that led her Global Seva; from China to Peru, Australia to India, places that inspired her to constantly challenge herself for growth.

After months working in a poverty alleviation programs and women’s shelters around the world, Katie B’s world change shifted from a wide lens, to a narrow one. “My whole life I always thought making an impact had to be visible on a global scale. My world changed when I realized the monumental shift that happens on a personal level. There’s magic in the connection of helping people own their power and worth on a one on one level.”

Katie B realized her true “yoga” was believing in others’ growth, and helping everyone see how inspiring they are. Once back in San Diego, as traveling had been her vehicle for self progress, her yoga mat became the magic carpet to discover new adventure. Power 200 Hour Teacher Training started her off, and continued into Yoga Sculpt, Yoga Pilates, Kids Yoga, and a working 500 hour certification.

Guiding yoga classes has become the true vehicle for not just her own expansion and inner drive, but it allows Katie, everyday, to help students awaken to their happiest and strongest self. Katie teaches classes currently in San Diego full time. She runs 3 teacher trainings annually, “Awaken Your Spirit” retreat, and life changing fitness programs monthly.
