The words I associate with Madhuvanthi are Love and Longing. Madhuvanthi (which is quite close to the carnatic raga Dharmavathi) is true to its name (Madhu means honey), a raga soaked in sweetness. This raga is romantic and at the same time, has a melancholic tinge to it which makes the romance more meaningful! Don’t you think so?
