When you’re out in the wilderness, a long way from any good bike shops, its a really good idea to be able to fix just about any problem you might have on your bike. Doing this is a matter of maintenance to make sure you don’t have any major problems in the first place, preparation to make sure you’ve got the tools you’ll need, and some ingenuity to be able to bodge together anything you’ve not been able to bring tools, or spares for.
Josh is a master at this, so make sure you have a look at all his maintenance hacks.
