Sahaja Yoga is a meditation technique developed by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi that involves the awakening of a subtle spiritual energy known as the Kundalini which lies dormant in the sacrum bone at the base of the spine in three and a half coils. When awakened the Kundalini gently rises up the central channel: Sushumna Nadi. She touches, nourishes, and heals the chakras along the way. Ultimately the Kundalini comes out through the top of our head: the Crown Sahasrara Chakra giving us our Yoga: Baptism, Union with the Divine Power of Love: Holy Ghost: Ruh. Know Thyself – True self – the Pure Spirit.
Sahaja Yoga is a method of meditation based on an experience called Self-Realisation (kundalini awakening) that can occur within each human being. An inner transformation takes place by which you become integrated and balanced. This energy can be felt as a cool breeze above your head and hands.
