Video
Description
Working on your pelvic floor during pregnancy? Check out EPI-NO Delphine Plus – a Natural Childbirth Preparation device from Germany – now available in India.
Strength of Pelvic Floor muscles is extremely important as they hold everything in place –your bladder, your uterus, your baby and your bowels. During pregnancy, as the pelvic floor bears the weight of the growing baby for 40 weeks, they tend to become weak. Weak Pelvic Floor muscles can lead to urinary incontinence (i.e., peeing when you sneeze) that is so common for women after giving birth or during late stages of pregnancy. Hence it is extremely important to keep them strong and supple to aid normal birth and recovery.
In this Yoga for Pelvic Floor video, we will work on 3 yoga exercises that will help in strengthening your pelvic floor muscles. You can do these during your pregnancy to help aid normal delivery as well as post-partum to aid recovery.
Props required: A yoga block or a thick book
